Deepak Chopra, MD
“If we are creating ourselves all the time,
then it is never too late to begin
creating the bodies we want instead of the ones
we mistakenly assume we are stuck with.”

“Delos fuses medicine and science with
architecture and design to completely reinvent
how we all should be living.”

Revolutionary ideas begin by questioning the state of the things we take for granted. Consider that 15 cubic meters of air pass through the lungs of an average adult each day. Then multiply the impact of the air you breathe across the days and years of your life. The invisible elements of our urban lives—air, water, light and sound—are the luxuries we seek when we escape the urban environment. By using curated solutions to restore these elements and awaken and support our own natural body rhythms, we can restore ourselves at home. Delos is helping to design and engineer residences to enhance both physical and emotional health and wellbeing. Residences are customized to feature wellness solutions that move them beyond a neutral, clean box to a net positive haven of scientifically validated wellness solutions.

We spend 90% of our time indoors.
Let’s make home a healthy place to be.

Advanced Purification systems at MUSE meet heightened, scientifically -backed criteria for air and water quality, bringing in precisely what the body needs and filtering out the elements that harm it. MUSE’s best-in-class water filtration technology achieves nationally-recognized standards for inorganic, organic and biological contaminants, while it’s advanced air purification removes harmful particulates like allergens, toxins, pathogens, and pollen.
At MUSE, advanced indoor lighting technologies are utilized to enhance performance and promote alignment with the body’s natural circadian rhythm to improve energy, mood and productivity. Light influences and regulates our bodily rhythms, providing the cues to keep our sleep-wake cycle aligned each day. Well-designed combinations of day-lighting and artificial light can provide an appropriate lighting environment for circadian alignment.
Changes in air quality, temperature, humidity and ambient sound levels have a dramatic impact on well-being and can change over time, creating conditions that are not conducive to optimal health. Wellness Residences at MUSE feature a sensor-driven monitoring system that continuously detects changes in environmental quality.

Advanced Purification

Stand Alone Air Purification Upgrade
Residents will have the option to upgrade to a stand alone, wall-mounted air purification unit to further enhance the air purification quality when conditions are beyond the capabilities of the specified HVAC system
Whole Home Air
All air-handling systems upgraded with enhanced filters
Whole Home Water Filtration
Enjoy the clean, refreshing taste of filtered water right from your kitchen and bathroom sinks. The filtration system utilizes 0.2-micron filtration and is able to reduce chlorine taste, lead, cysts and VOC’s.
The shower infuser
Shower Infuser reduces chlorine, which can dry the skin and hair, and leaves you feeling refreshed.
Indoor air quality (IAQ) is often worse than outdoor air quality due to material off-gassing and poor ventilation practices. Indoor air quality can be optimized through advanced filtration methods. Effective air filtration purifies and enhances an indoor space by removing dust, allergens such as pollen and pet dander, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and pathogens from the air.
Municipal regulatory thresholds of performance for water quality are often not as stringent as medical research advocates. In order to mitigate the risks of poor water quality, best-in-class water filtration technologies are utilized to achieve nationally recognized water quality standards for inorganic, organic and biological contaminants that are prescribed by Delos.

Dynamic Lighting

The main function of light is to enable us to see the world, however light also influences our bodies in a number of non-visual ways, with effects on our mood, alertness, and cognitive ability. Humans have an internal clock that is impacted by exposure to light and dark, and keeps the body on a roughly 24-hour cycle, referred to as the circadian rhythm. Thoughtfully designed combinations of day-lighting and artificial light can provide an optimal lighting environment for circadian alignment.

Since circadian rhythms are regulated by exposure to light, circadian lighting is engineered to emulate certain properties of sunlight. In combination with preprogrammed timing mechanisms, circadian lighting can help to regulate various important biological processes, including sleep, appetite, hormonal balance, temperature and energy levels.

Circadian lighting will be integrated into rooms based on the selected package type. This is achieved through the most advanced artificial lighting platform on the market.

The 4 evidence-based light scenes include:
Circadian: Delivers lighting conditions that aim to mimic the light outdoors based on the time of day to help keep your circadian rhythm more in sync with the 24-hour day.

Energize: Produces a bright, white light with a strong blue spectral component designed to suppress melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep.

Relax: Produces a soft, amber light designed for minimal melatonin suppression and is ideal for times of relaxation.

Dawn Simulation: Allows you to set daily alarms which trigger lighting to slowly simulate the sunrise while blackout shades open gradually and the room temperature adjusts.

An additional scene adds entertainment and enjoyment value:
Play: Creates an exciting and colorful ambiance.

Why Circadian Lighting?
Circadian disruption from electric light
exposure may play a role in diabetes, obesity,
depression, as well as breast cancer.
Exposure to light regulates the body’s circadian rhythm, a biological process that oscillates around a 24-hour cycle and determines the body’s natural sleep-wake cycle. The presence of daylight combined with the quality of artificial lighting in a space can have a significant impact on your comfort, mood, alertness and sleep quality.

The home automation system allows for a unique opportunity to integrate the proprietary Delos evidence-based “Wellness Automation Specifications” into the resident’s experience. These are dynamic, app enabled and physically controlled by the residents to create customizable environments.
Dawn Simulation: Allows the resident to set daily alarms which trigger lighting to slowly simulate the sunrise while the room temperature adjusts.

Personalized Scenes: Gives the resident the ability throughout the day to customize the environment to their activity (i.e. work, relax, rest, play)
